CVS In Chatham Becoming A COVID-19 Vaccine Site
Although appointments booked quickly, the development brings Chatham a COVID-19 vaccine site.
CHATHAM, NJ — Chatham is getting its first public COVID-19 vaccination site. CVS made doses available at several of its New Jersey locations.
CVS will receive 19,900 doses of the vaccine through the Federal Pharmacy Partnership, Gov. Phi Murphy said during his Wednesday news conference. Vaccinations will take place over the course of the next week, and Murphy said the additional vaccines can't be administered fast enough.

But appointments filled quickly, and all CVS locations in New Jersey with the vaccine have been fully booked. Trying to schedule an appointment may give users an error message because of "heavy traffic."
Morris County currently has five other COVID-19 vaccine sites, according to state officials: the Morris County Megasite in Rockaway, RMG Urgent Care Center-Ledgewood and ShopRite Pharmacies in Flanders, Greater Morristown and Lincoln Park.

CVS and state officials did not immediately clarify whether vaccines became available in their Main Street pharmacy or Chatham Township's Hickory Square location. Staff are not available for specific questions on CVS's vaccine initiatives.
A company spokesperson said they will only provide specific addresses to people with appointments, since supply is limited. Patients must make appointments at cvs.com.

Vaccinations at CVS locations in New Jersey will begin Thursday. As more supply becomes available, the company will administer vaccines at more locations and offer additional appointments.
Seventy Rite Aid locations in New Jersey will also become vaccine sites, according to state officials. But the company hasn't yet announced which locations will make shots available, but appointments can eventually be made by clicking here.
The New Jersey Department of Health has tallied 84,756 vaccine doses administered in Morris County as of Thursday morning.
