For Mother's Day, a Gift to Cross Half the World

Chatham High's Key Club is running a fundraiser for Nepal's first library that doubles as a Mother's Day tribute.

This Mother's Day, the Chatham High School Key Club offers the chance to honor moms and foster learning at the same time.

The club is holding a tile sale from 3 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, May 1. Nicole Avery, one of the club's advisors, said, "We are asking students to make the tiles in honor of their mothers."

The tiles will go to Nepal, where they will be used on a Garden of Harmony Tile Wall for that country's first library. The library will be in Lumbini.
