Here Are Chatham High School Class Of 2021 Senior Awards

The awards were just announced for Chatham High School seniors in the Class of 2021.

CHATHAM, NJ — Awards for Seniors in Chatham High School’s Class of 2021 were announced on Thursday, with a range of award categories from Outstanding Graduate to awards for leadership, academic achievement, intellectual achievement and community service. Awards were also handed out in the Academic Achievement and Commitment to Excellence categories in the various academic departments.

Jackson DeVico and Dennis Moynihan each received the CHS Outstanding Graduate Award, given to those in the class who have “in some way separated themselves from their contemporaries and stand out from the crowd.”

Cara Grace Guimond was given the CHS Leadership Award and recognized for her “integrity, accountability, empathy, humility, and resilience, and ability “to inspire others to strive toward a common goal that benefits the CHS or Chatham community.”

Anna Baird-Hassell received the CHS Intellectual Achievement Awards, for demonstrating that “learning is a lifelong and personal accomplishment.”

Owen Truppo was awarded the “CHS Community Service Award,” for taking part in activities that benefitted the school or Chathams.

Catharine Gallagher was chosen to receive the CHS Cougar Spirit Award, for her school spirit and fostering a “safe and supportive school atmosphere built on mutual respect, understanding, and compassion.”

The "100% Athlete Award" went to Katharine Caviness, Carlin Chazen and Lauren Clark for earning a varsity letter each season they were students at Chatham High school.

The following students were given Academic Achievement Awards or Commitment to Excellence Awards for their dedication in particular subject areas. Academic Achievement Awards are for seniors who demonstrated success all four years in one subject; and Commitment to Excellence Awards for students who showed "a genuine passion for learning and curiosity within the subject area:"
