Home Burglary Arrest In Chatham Township

C. Patton stole from a residence on River Road, police said.

CHATHAM, NJ - A 40-year-old Sparta man was arrested and charged with burglarizing a home on River Road, according to the Chatham Township Police Department.

The crime was committed in September of 2018 when a River Road resident reported that her home had been forcefully entered and several pieces of jewelry and cash had been taken from the master bedroom, police said.

Chatham Township Police Department’s Detective David Gallo along with other Chatham Township Detectives, and the Morris County Sheriff’s Department CSI, was able to gather evidence left at the scene that ultimately led to the arrest of a suspect identified by authorities as C. Patton.

Patton was charged and remanded to the Morris County Correctional Facility, police said.
