Kids Can Get ‘Caught’ In Chatham For Ice Cream
Children spotted wearing their bicycle helmets may receive an award for ice cream handed out by the Chatham Borough Police Department.
CHATHAM, NJ — There’s an instance in Chatham when a police chase could actually be a good thing for a kid.
That happens when a Chatham Borough Police officer rewards a child for wearing their bicycle helmet.
In that case, when a kid is “caught” making the right choice by putting on a helmet, Chatham Borough Police will leave the safe, young bike rider with a special certificate to redeem at Scoops The Chatham Creamery.
