Library of the Chathams Offers Portrait Drawing Classes

Art teacher Peggy Dressel is back by popular demand, this time online.

Portrait Drawing with Peggy Dressel

Wednesdays, April 14, 21, 28 and May 5 – 11 am to 12:30 pm

Learn how to draw a person’s face both frontal and profile in this virtual class. Covered will be the dimensions of the head, and how to determine where to place and draw the facial features, eyes, nose, mouth and ears. You will learn how lighting defines the facial bone structure so that you can enhance your portrait with shading and tone.
Registration is required and is open now. This is a four-part course and all sessions must be attended to participate. You may click here to register online or call 973-635-0603.
You will be emailed drawing information and reference materials, as well as the Zoom link. A list of supplies you will need for the class will be provided as well.
There is a fee of $32 for the course. Click here for instructions to pay online.
