Library of the Chathams Update - May 30, 2021

No appointment needed, and further rollback of restrictions

The library is open without appointment! You are welcome to come in and browse for books and movies, or to use a computer or copy machine. Looking for a quiet place to study? Seating is now available at the tables and study carrels in the Reference area. Need a place to meet with a few other people? One of our meeting rooms is available on the lower level for small-group meetings – call the library for more information or to make a reservation.

The safety of the staff and our patrons of all ages is our priority and the Board of Trustees has decided that masks are still required at this time to protect the unvaccinated. We also ask that you continue to take your temperature upon entering the building. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Other safety measures that we have in place include Plexiglas barriers at all service desks, contactless checkout, self-checkout with our new mobile app, hand sanitizer stations throughout the building, and kiosks with sanitizing wipes located by the computers and the copy machine.
