Paper-Shredding Event Taking Place Soon In Chatham Area

The Green Village Fire Department will hold the event April 17.

Correction: The event will cost $8 per file box, not per person.

GREEN VILLAGE, NJ — The Green Village Fire Department has offered to take and destroy your sensitive documents. A paper-shredding event will take place from 9 a.m. to noon April 17 at the fire department auxiliary (529 Green Village Rd.).

The event will cost $8 per file box and $5 per brown paper grocery bag. Large bags and containers will be priced accordingly.

A truck-mounted shredder will destroy sensitive documents on-site. No newspapers, magazines, books or binders.

Masks must be worn. The event — held rain or shine — will end early if the truck reaches capacity.
