Roadwork Will Block Access To Some Chatham Twp Driveways

If your driveway is affected, you won't be able to park at home.

CHATHAM, NJ — Roadwork this week will block access to some Chatham Township driveways, Chatham officials said. Residents in affected homes should plan ahead.

Paving is scheduled for the following roads this week:

  • Gibbons Place - Dead end portion with access from Shunpike Road only (Milling: May 2, Paving: May 3)
  • Bridge Avenue - From River Road to Passaic River (Milling: May 1, Paving: May 4)
  • Henry Drive (Milling: May 1, Paving: May 4)
  • Central Avenue - From River Road to Passaic River (Milling: May 1, Paving: May 4)

The day paving is scheduled residents will not be able to get in and out of their driveway after 7 a.m. Residents who need to leave their driveway that day will have to park on a different street and walk to their car. No one will be able to drive on the newly paved roads.
