Rotary Event Raises $25K for Paralyzed Madison Father

More than 300 people attended pig roast to benefit Dave Cuozzo, a 25-year veteran with the Union Township Police Department.

More than 300 people helped raise $25,000 at a Rotary Club pig roast this month for a Madison resident suffering from a rare infection that has left him paralyzed.

The Rotary Club of Madison partnered with St. Vincent Martyr Church to host the pig roast on July 12 for Dave Cuozzo, a 25-year veteran officer with the Union Township Police Department.

The event surpassed its $10,000 goal and the Rotary Club presented Cuozzo’s daughter, Danielle, a $2,000 scholarship. Danielle Cuozzo, a 2014 Madison High School grad, will attend Seton Hall University in the fall.
