CHATHAM, NJ — Administrators and principals in the School District of the Chathams got paid higher than the median statewide salary, according to New Jersey for the 2020-21 school year. See how they compare across the state and in Morris County.

After delays caused by the COVID crisis, the state released new information that shows how much every New Jersey school district budgeted to pay principals, superintendents and administrators in 2020-21.

Chatham pays its superintendents, principals and administrators a median salary of $150,452 — the second-highest total in the county and 33rd in New Jersey.

Morris Hills Regional's principals and administrators are the highest paid in Morris County with a median salary of $161,443. Unity Charter School had the county's lowest median of $81,544, while all other school districts in the county had a median salary of six figures or higher.
