$17 Million in School Projects Includes East Stormwater Fix

Cherry Hill's school board will vote Tuesday on projects that are 40-percent funded by state aid.

Cherry Hill’s school board will have an extra piece to consider when it votes Tuesday night on $17.9 million worth of school improvement projects, which are slated to get $7.16 million from state aid.

Along with about $14 million in projects across 18 of the 19 schools—primarily boiler and fire alarm system replacements—the board will have a $3.7 million project that would fix stormwater leaks at Cherry Hill East to consider as part of the agenda.

The East project wasn’t part of the slew of projects originally submitted to the state, but could net the district $1.47 million in aid, putting the local cost at $2.2 million.
