2 Cherry Hill Restaurants Reopen After Coronavirus Cases

Chick's Deli and Ponzio's have both reopened after being closed due to coronavirus cases among employees.

CHERRY HILL, NJ — Two Cherry Hill restaurants that were temporarily closed after their employees tested positive for the coronavirus have reopened. Chick’s Deli reopened on Monday, and Ponzio’s Diner reopened last week, according to the restaurants’ Facebook pages.

“We are very happy to announce that we will be reopening this Monday, December 14, at 7 a.m.,” Chick's Deli said on its page. “Unfortunately we will be closed on Sundays until our complete staff is healthy and able to return. See you all soon! Thank you for understanding and supporting us while we continue to follow CDC protocols and serve you as efficiently as possible.”

Ponzio’s reopened on Dec. 9, with modified hours. It is now open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Sunday through Thursday, and 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

As of Monday morning, there have been 2,870 cases of the coronavirus and 169 coronavirus-related deaths in Cherry Hill since the beginning of the pandemic.Countywide, there have been 22,267 cases and 671 deaths.
