3 Cherry Hill Residents Die Due To Coronavirus

Three Cherry Hill residents were among 13 in Camden County whose coronavirus-related deaths were reported on Monday.

CHERRY HILL, NJ — Three Cherry Hill residents were among 13 Camden County residents whose coronavirus-related deaths were announced on Monday.

A Cherry Hill man in his 60s, a Cherry Hill man in his 80s and a Cherry Hill woman in her 90s have died after testing positive for the coronavirus, according to the Camden County Health Department.

“Even with vaccinations increasing, COVID-19 is still finding ways to devastate our community. Our thoughts and prayers are with these 13 most recent victims and their families,” Camden County Commissioner Director Louis Cappelli Jr. said. “We are continuing to bring the vaccine into the community and schools to get our residents, students, and teachers protected from this disease. After more than a year of fighting this pandemic, we are finally turning the corner, but we have to get the ball across the goal line.”

The following information is currently available regarding these most recent deaths in Camden County:

  • A Cherry Hill man in his 80s;
  • A Camden man in his 70s;
  • A Pine Hill woman in her 80s;
  • A Winslow man in his 60s;
  • A Pennsauken man in his 80s;
  • A Cherry Hill woman in her 90s;
  • A Cherry Hill man in his 60s;
  • A Gloucester Township man in his 50s;
  • A Gloucester Township woman in her 60s;
  • A Camden woman in her 60s;
  • A Lindenwold man in his 50s;
  • A Gloucester Township man in his 50s; and
  • An Audubon man in his 80s.

There were also 91 new cases of the coronavirus reported in Camden County between Saturday and Monday. Trace investigations are underway in all cases.

As of Monday, there have been 49,133 cases of the coronavirus and 1,203 coronavirus-related deaths in Camden County since the pandemic began more than a year ago.

There have been 5,791 coronavirus cases in Cherry Hill.

To date, 463,279 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in Camden County. There 262,433 people with at least one dose, and 220,256 who are fully vaccinated.

There have been 2,362 cases and 462 deaths among residents in the county’s 56 long-term care facilities. There have been 1,386 cases and seven deaths among staff members at these facilities.

Residents who are having difficulty coping with the coronavirus pandemic should call the Mental Health Association in New Jersey, Inc. at 877-294- HELP (4357) between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. for emotional support, guidance and mental health referrals as needed.
