Infused Restaurant & Bar
During the darkest hours of the pandemic, Holiday Inn and Infused Restaurant & Bar staff stepped up to the plate to serve essential workers, said Nolan Cox, an employee.
"Our hardworking staff stayed open to serve essential workers throughout the pandemic, taking pay cuts and picking up extra shifts; all while going through a complete hotel renovation," Cox said.
The Bagel Spot
"Open every morning at 6:30, cheerfully serving a wide assortment of terrific fresh bagels (sun-dried tomato, half & half, peanut butter) and specialty cream cheeses (including my favorite: vegan veggie) throughout the pandemic," said customer Al Weiss. "Great product, great value, great service!"
Michaelangelo's Italian Restaurant
In unpredictable times, adaptability is key. That's why Michaelangelo's stood out to customers Jim and Kathy Kellmer.
"Outstanding customer service during every phase of business, consistently good food whether pick-up, delivery, or dining outdoors, and now indoors," the Kellmers said. "Vinnie and Peter worked very hard to keep as many employees working during this ordeal. This restaurant has been a treasure in our Community for over thirty years, and we all want it to survive these difficult times."
Chick's Deli
Sometimes simple acts like serving good food and providing good service are all it takes to make a difference. One customer said they recommend Chick's because it has "the best sandwiches and cheese steaks" and its staff is "always friendly to everyone."
Patch readers nominated a Local Businesses of the Year. The local businesses included retail stores, restaurants, hardware shops, dry cleaners, plumbers, car mechanics, salons and more.
Nominated businesses will be featured throughout December.
