Cherry Hill School Board Candidates Building On Election Lead
As of Monday, Camden County had counted 249,956 vote-by-mail ballots and 203 machine ballots. No provisional ballots had been counted as of
CHERRY HILL, NJ — Three candidates who have held a lead in vote-counting since Election Day built on their leads in the Cherry Hill Board of Education race on Monday. The top three vote-getters remained the same.
Miriam Stern maintained her lead in the five-person race with 21,825 votes. Incumbent Carol Matlack is second with 20,122 votes, and Ineda "Corrien" Elmore-Stratton remains in third with 17,195 votes. John Papeika is fourth with 15,964 votes, and Aslihan Cakmak is fifth with 12,650.
Democrat William A. Carter remained on pace to win the appointment to an unexpired term on Cherry Hill Council. He now has 25,521 votes, and Republican Nancy Feller O’Dowd has 14,067.Carter currently holds the seat, having been appointed following the resignation of Carolyn Jacobs.

As of Monday, Camden County had counted 249,956 vote-by-mail ballots and 203 machine ballots. No provisional ballots had been counted as of Sunday, and turnout was 398,475.

According to the Board of Elections, the county will update numbers daily through Nov. 23. It will begin counting provisional ballots on Nov. 11.
