Annual Barclay Farm Swim Club 5K Race is Sunday Morning

Online and in-person registration for the race, which benefits the club's swim team, are still available.

Break out the running shoes—spring is here, and the annual Barclay Farm Swim Club 'Cudas on the Run 5K is this weekend.

The race, which also has the option of a two-mile walk and a kids’ fun run, carves its way through the Barclay section of the township, going right past historic Barclay Farmstead on a 3.1-mile loop that begins and ends at the swim club.

The 5K begins at 8:30 a.m. Sunday, with the two-mile walk going off 10 minutes after the race start. The kids’ run, a 75-yard dash, is set for 9:45 a.m.

Online registration is still available, as is day-of registration at the club at 315 Whitemarsh Way. Registration is $25 for adults, $10 for kids under 12, and race day registration opens at 7:30 a.m. Sunday.

T-shirts are guaranteed for the first 150 registrants, and there will be prizes for the top three overall men and women winners and top men and women winners in the following age groups: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 and 60 and over.

Proceeds from the race benefit the Barclay Barracudas swim team at the Barclay Farm Swim Club.
