The Cherry Hill East senior will play Division I after graduating high school.

Caitlin Delaney made it official: The Cherry Hill East senior three-sport athlete inked her letter of intent last week to play Division I lacrosse after she graduates.

Delaney, a midfielder with more than 100 career goals, will move on to play at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT, next year. She also plays soccer and basketball at East.

“I liked coaches (Laura) Cook and (Julia) Steier, the program, which has been Northeast Conference Champions 3 of the last 4 years, the campus and the school, which offers undergraduate and graduate programs in the degree that I want to study,” she told Phillylacrosse.com.

Delaney spent her junior year at Cherry Hill East lighting up the scoreboard—her 100 and 101st goals of the season, which came against Pennsauken, took her to 75 goals on the season at the time.
