CAMDEN COUNTY, NJ — The Camden County Prosecutor’s Office is highlighting the resources that are available for the Asian community after an increase in attacks against Asian Americans in some parts of the country.
The State of New Jersey has the third-highest population of Asian Americans behind only Hawaii and California, according to a 2019 report by Jersey Promise, an organization that serves the Asian American community by building understanding of the state’s diverse communities and identifying top policy priorities.
The report also cites a 95 percent increase of Asian Americans in New Jersey from 2000 to 2017, making it the fastest growing racial group in the state, Acting Camden County Prosecutor Jill S. Mayer said.
