Cherry Hill Education Foundation Collecting Used Band Instruments

The foundation is working to provide low-income students with instruments for the district's music programs.

Has that trombone been gathering dust in the basement for the last few years?

Have a flute you don't plan on playing ever again?

The Cherry Hill Education Foundation will be glad to take them off your hands.

The foundation is collecting used band and orchestral instruments—everything winds, brass and strings, as well as some percussion and keyboard instruments—for a project to provide low-income Cherry Hill students with instruments so they can participate in the district's instrumental music programs.

All instruments will be cleaned and reconditioned, and donations are completely tax deductible.

There's a collection at the Malberg Building tonight from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.; after that, Jacobs Music at the Barclay Farms Shopping Center will accept instruments beginning Oct. 5 through the end of the school year.

Questions about the program can be directed to the foundation by phone at 856-938-9002.
