Cherry Hill Man Charged With Murder In Ex-Wife's Stabbing: Police
Philip Purche is now charged with murder after his ex-wife died eight months after authorities say he stabbed her.
CHERRY HILL, NJ — A Cherry Hill man is now being charged with first-degree murder after a woman he stabbed in July died earlier this week, according to Acting Camden County Prosecutor Jill S. Mayer and Haddon Township Police Chief Mark Cavallo.
Philip Puche, 72, of Cherry Hill, was charged on Thursday, three days after his ex-wife, Nancy Kenny, died of injuries she sustained when Puche stabbed her in Audubon Park on July 16, according to authorities.

On Friday morning, police said the 63-year-old Kenny, of Audubon Park, had been released from the hospital, but she died on Monday. Her cause of death was determined to be complications of multiple incised wounds to the head and neck, according to the Camden County Medical Examiner’s Office. The office ruled her death to be a homicide.
Puche was arrested after the stabbing, and was initially charged with one count each of first-degree attempted murder, first-degree armed robbery, second-degree burglary, second-degree aggravated assault, third-degree aggravated assault of a domestic violence victim, third-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and fourth-degree unlawful possession of a weapon.

He has been held in the Camden County Correctional Facility since he was arrested on July 19, according to authorities. He now awaits a detention hearing on the new homicide charge, authorities said.
