Cherry Hill Mayor Shines Spotlight On Asian American Alliance

The Asian American Alliance in South Jersey organized the Stop Anti-Asian Hate Rally that took place in Cherry Hill last month.

CHERRY HILL, NJ — Cherry Hill Mayor Susan Shin Angulo is shining a spotlight on the Asian American Alliance in South Jersey (AAASJ) as part of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month in May.

“The AAASJ aims to represent and safeguard the interests of Asian Americans in the South Jersey community,” Shin Angulo said in a letter to the community. “Through its organized activities, AAASJ hopes to amplify Asian American voices in the region, promote their unity, protect their interest and increase their representation and visibility. While its members consist mostly of Asian Americans, the organization is open to anyone who shares its goal and value.”

The AAASJ organized the Stop Anti-Asian Hate Rally that took place in Cherry Hill last month, Shin Angulo said.
