Cherry Hill Police Hunt Hit-and-Run Driver

A pedestrian suffered severe injuries in at hit-and-run near the Cherry Hill Mall Oct. 4.

Update, 6:50 p.m.: Police have located the driver.

Cherry Hill Police are searching for a hit-and-run driver who plowed into a pedestrian near the mall this afternoon and took off.

The crash happened at 1:55 p.m. Thursday. Police say a white-covered, mid-size vehicle—possibly a Ford—was driving westbound on Route 38 and Mall Drive. The driver hit a pedestrian crossing Route 38 and sped off, traveling westbound on the road.

The victim suffered severe head and body trauma. He was transported to Cooper University Hospital in Camden. Only his gender was available from police.

Cherry Hill Police’s Traffic unit is investigating. Anyone with information is asked to call the Traffic Unit at 856-488-7828 or 856-488-7820.
