Cherry Hill Scarecrow Contest Offers Chance To Get Creative
The winning scarecrows will be displayed at the Cherry Hill Public Library Oct. 30 and 31.

CHERRY HILL, NJ — Cherry Hill residents have the chance to get creative and help decorate their town for Halloween.
The township and the public library are partnering on a Community Scarecrow Contest for children, adults, families and businesses.
The scarecrows will be displayed at the library on Oct. 30 and 31 for all to see, and prizes will be awarded in different categories.

The cost is $20 to enter, and up to six people are allowed in a single entry. Registration is required by visiting https://www.eventbrite.com/e/cherry-hill-community-scarecrow-contest-tickets-122085510047 to pay online with credit card (fees associated).
Residents can also visit the administration office of the Cherry Hill Public Library to register with cash or check. At the time of registration, contestants will receive straw/hay, pantyhose, burlap sacks, twine, and newspaper.

Contestants will then gather at the library, 1100 Kings Highway North, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Oct. 17. Anyone who can’t make it to the build contest can pick up supplies from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. or 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Oct. 7, assemble their scarecrow at home, and return it during the build event.
