Cherry Hill Schools Begin Hybrid Learning This Week
The Cherry Hill Public School District began the year by going 100 percent full remote, but return to some in-person learning this week.

CHERRY HILL, NJ — With an increase in coronavirus cases, an increase in restrictions appears likely in New Jersey. But while it looks like restaurants and bars will see more restrictions on indoor dining and some schools will be going full-remote, the Cherry Hill Public School District is returning to part-time instruction.
Cherry Hill schools will implement their hybrid learning plan this week. Students will attend school in-person two days a week and learn remotely for the other three days.
Students in Cohort A will attend on Tuesdays and Thursdays, while students in Cohort B will attend on Wednesdays and Fridays, and Monday will serve as an all-remote day. The school district has the full schedule laid out on its website.

Teachers and students will now be required to wear masks. Students attending in person will also have to wear masks at bus stops and on the bus. Masks can only be removed when a person is physically eating or drinking.
The district is warning the pace of learning may slow a bit as everyone gets adjusted to the new format.
Everyone will have to be pre-screened before coming to school, and anyone who feels sick must stay home and contact their healthcare provider for guidance. The district has posted a screening checklist.
Anyone who has symptoms of the coronavirus will be sent to the nurse’s office, monitored and isolated until leaving the building to seek medical attention. Positive cases will be reported to the school nurse, who will then contact the Camden County Department of Health. Positive cases among staff members will be reported to the district’s Human Resources Department, who will then contact the health department.
Families may be notified by the Camden County Department of Health that their student must quarantine at home. Family members may be required to quarantine as well.
Anyone ordered by the Department of Health to quarantine will not be allowed in any school buildings until the student’s quarantine is lifted.
The district opened the year in a full-remote learning environment, and planned to return to its hybrid plan Nov. 9. Read more here: Cherry Hill Schools Plan For Return Of Hybrid Learning Nov. 9
During a news conference Monday, Gov. Phil Murphy announced that bars and restaurants will soon need to close all indoor service by 10 p.m. Outdoor dining and takeout and delivery services may continue beyond 10 p.m., and enclosed, heated outdoor tents can be put up outside.
There will be no more barside seating, but tables can be placed within 6 feet of each other, as long as there are barriers in place. Read more here: Gov. Murphy: NJ COVID-19 Numbers Going In 'Wrong Direction'
