Cherry Hill Schools Will Close Wednesday

District officials made the call well in advance as Tuesday's storm continued to drop snow on the area.

With New Jersey under a state of emergency, Cherry Hill school officials made the early decision to shut down all schools in the district for Wednesday.

Parts of Camden County had seen nearly 10 inches of snow through the early evening, with more expected through the evening and overnight, and forecasters were warning of dangerously cold temperatures—lows could hit around 4 or colder—for Wednesday morning.

National Weather Service forecasters have said Camden County is in the heaviest snowfall zone, with up to 14 inches of snow predicted by the end of the storm.
