Cherry Hill Set For Virtual Memorial Day Ceremony

CHERRY HILL, NJ — For the second straight year, Cherry Hill will host a virtual Memorial Day ceremony, Mayor Susan Shin Angulo announced. It will be available on the township’s website and social media pages at 11:30 a.m. on May 31.
“Although it was yet again another difficult decision to hold this event virtually, the decision was made out of an abundance of caution and consideration of planning time requirements,” Shin Angulo said. “This year's ceremony was filmed outside of town hall at the war memorial and includes special acknowledgements from members of the American Legion Post 372 and Jewish War Veterans Post 126, community and Township Council members.”
The township held its Memorial Day Ceremony virtually last year due to the coronavirus pandemic. It will do so again as the pandemic continues, although the outlook is better than it was a year ago.
