Cherry Hill U-12 Barcelona Wins Soccer Championship

Cherry Hill’s U-12 Barcelona boys' travel team took home the championship in the South Jersey Soccer League Sunday in a nail-biter, winning with a second-half goal to take the title in Mullica Hill.

While the team had been in the lead in its division heading into the game, they needed the win to clinch the title, wrapping it up with a 7-1-2 record on the season, with just six goals allowed, including the championship shutout.

The team has some international flavor, with players tracing their families back to Columbia, Peru, Poland, Mexico, Italy, Greece, Philippines and Argentina.
