Cherry Hill Wegmans Begins COVID Vaccinations: Who's Eligible

All Wegmans stores in New Jersey, including in Cherry Hill, began inoculations on Thursday.

CHERRY HILL, NJ — All Wegmans stores in New Jersey, including in Cherry Hill, will offer the COVID-19 vaccine, officials announced.

Wegmans has partnered with state and local government officials to offer the COVID-19 vaccine at select pharmacy locations in New York State, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and New Jersey starting Thursday, according to officials.

In New Jersey, all locations are offering the vaccine, including the store at 2100 Route 70 West in Cherry Hill.

In New Jersey, Wegmans Pharmacy was selected by the state to offer the COVID-19 vaccine to individuals eligible in Phase 1A and 1B.

  • Healthcare workers
  • Long-term care and corrections staff and residents (e.g. nursing home, group home, shelters, prisons)
  • First responders
  • Individuals age 65+
  • Individuals age 16-64 that have certain medical conditions that increase the risk of severe illness from the virus

As vaccine supply becomes available, the link to schedule an appointment will be available at Wegmans.com/pharmacy. Customers without a computer can schedule a vaccine by calling 1-800-207-6099, Monday – Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. This line will only be active when appointments are available, officials said.

If scheduling an appointment for somebody else, please book the appointment using the name, date of birth, and address of the person receiving the vaccine, officials said.

What to Bring to Your Appointment
Bring your photo ID and insurance card to your appointment. If you are on Medicare, bring your Medicare Part B card (Hospital/Medical card) and your prescription card.

Second Dose Appointment
At the time of your first dose, the pharmacy team will schedule your second dose appointment, if applicable. Per state guidance, second doses should be administered at the same location as your first dose.

Vaccine Cost
There are no out-of-pocket costs for the vaccine or its administration, regardless of insurance coverage. If you have insurance, they will process the vaccine through your insurance provider.

Vaccine Availability
The COVID-19 vaccine is in high demand and officials expect to receive a limited supply of the vaccine on a regular basis in order to vaccinate the groups listed above.As the vaccine process evolves, so does the information they receive from local and state officials.

Here's what you need to know:

  • New Appointment Timeslots: Will open online scheduling for appointments as shipments are confirmed. At this time, there is not a confirmed schedule. Expect appointments to continue to book quickly and customers are encouraged to check Wegmans.com/pharmacy, frequently. Appointments are first come, first served. There will be no waitlist.
  • Distribution of Vaccine: The amount of vaccine received starts with the federal government, who first allocates a certain number of vaccinations to each state. From there, the state determines how much goes to each region and provider.
