Cherry Hill West Baseball Team Falls In State Tournament
Cherry Hill West fell to Wall by one run in the Group 3 state semifinals on Monday.
CHERRY HILL, NJ — The Cherry Hill High School West baseball team’s season has come to a close in the state semifinals.
Wall defeated Cherry Hill West, 4-3, in the NJSIAA Group 3 state semifinals on Monday, according to nj.com. Wall scored all four of its runs in the first two innings and never looked back en route to an appearance in the state final on Saturday.
Tyler Kubrak was 2-for-4 with a double for Cherry Hill West, which finished the season with a record of 25-4. John Gray was 1-for-2 with an RBI.

Last week, Cherry Hill West defeated Triton Regional, 6-3, to win the NJSIAA South Jersey Group 3 championship. The Lions opened the tournament with a 9-1 win over No. 15 Camden Tech, according to nj.com. In the quarterfinals, Cherry Hill West defeated No. 10 Absegami, 4-0. In the semifinals, they defeated No. 6 Hammonton, 11-2.
