Cherry Hill West Football Battles in Playoffs [Photos]
The Lions made their first-ever postseason appearance Friday night against Timber Creek.
Cherry Hill West's first foray into the football postseason was a short one.
The Lions threatened early, but Timber Creek's passing attack proved too much to handle as the Chargers blew up West's playoff debut, 39-13.
Trailing 13-0 in the first quarter, West put together a scoring drive that included a gutsy fourth-and-inches conversion before quarterback Joey Argentina hit tight end John Bendig over the middle to pull the Lions within a touchdown.

But the Chargers were able to pull away thanks in part to a 77-yard catch-and-run by Alan Butler, who juked his way through the secondary to set up a score that would make it 26-7 and let Timber Creek pull away.
West's Andy Valentin added a touchdown pass in the fourth.
