Cherry Hill West Wrestling Team Captures District Title

CHERRY HILL, NJ - The Cherry Hill High School West wrestling team scored 227.5 points to capture the District 27 team title at Rancocas Valley over the weekend, nj.com reports.
Teams from across New Jersey competed in district tournaments over the weekend, with the top three finishers from each weight class advancing to regions. The top three regional wrestlers advance to the state championship tournament in Atlantic City.
Cherry Hill East competed in District 26, Below are the results of the finals and the third-place matches, according to nj.com.

Finals, District 27, both wrestlers advance to regions:
106: Ryan Smith of Brick defeated Jaxon Casida of Cherry Hill West, 4-0
120: Jayden Gonzalez of Rancocas Valley defeated Michael Ummarino of Cherry Hill West, 24-17
132: Andrew Clark of Collingswood pinned Kyle Edwards of Cherry Hill West
138: John Howe of Cherry Hill West defeated Caleb Alvarado of Brick, 18-14
145: Sean Tyler of Cherry Hill West defeated Connor Ferino of Manchester, 16-1
152: Syrus Colon of Manchester defeated Rj Silver-Cohen of Cherry Hill West, 10-0
160: Xavier Barker of Cherry Hill West pinned John Lex of Collingswood
Heavyweight: Max Sullivan of Cherry Hill West defeated Mark Loveland of Rancocas Valley, 3-1

Third place finishers, District 27, winner advances to regions:
182: Domico Ummarino of Cherry Hill West pinned Emmanuel Rogelio of Lenape.
220: Jose Rivera of Cherry Hill West defeated Austin Taylor of Collingswood,14-7.
In District 26, Jesse Keesal advanced to regions at 126 pounds for Cherry Hill East, according to nj.com. He advanced to the district final, where he was pinned by Paulsboro’s Geno Duca in two minutes, 51 seconds.
