Child Safety Seat Checkups Offered by CHPD, CHFD

The events will be held once a month through the year.

Cherry Hill Police and the Cherry Hill Fire Department will hold their first of 12 car seat safety inspections Friday, as part of a yearlong safety iniative.

The free events, which are being held in partnership with Children’s Regional Hospital at Cooper and the county Division of Highway Traffic Safety, will offer parents the chance to get their child’s car seat checked out for proper installation, possible defects and factory recalls.

Friday’s session runs from 9 a.m. to noon, with no appointments needed, at the municipal complex at 820 Mercer Street.
