East, Camden Catholic Lacrosse Teams Get State Tourney Seeds

Four teams from the two schools are headed to the postseason.

Cherry Hill East's and Camden Catholic's boys and girls teams are all headed to the state tournament, according to unofficial seeds released by the Newark Star-Ledger Monday.

Both East's girls (Group 4 South) and Camden Catholic's girls (Group 1 South) are No. 6 seeds in their respective divisions, with seeding based on LaxPower.com's power rankings for the regular season. East will host Cherokee, the No. 11 seed, in the first round, while Camden Catholic will get Collingswood, also the No. 11 seed.

East's boys will have a tougher road through the tourney, drawing the No. 14 seed in Group 4 South and likely facing a trip to No. 3 Freehold in Group 4 South. The Camden Catholic boys, seeded No. 11, will have a hike in their first-round game, heading to Morristown-Beard in Morris County in the Non-Public B tournament.
