Last month, Hammonton Center on North White Horse Pike in Hammonton recognized their entire staff with a great deal of fun after a trying and stressful year during National Nursing Home Week, May 9th through May 15th.

At skilled nursing facilities throughout the country, the week was recognized in so many ways and at Hammonton Center, whether it was playing Overhead Bingo with the residents, getting ice cream from the Mr. Softee truck or just dropping your name in a raffle to win a prize, staff and residents have been looking to enjoy time together as COVID-19 restrictions have started to ease in the state of New Jersey. With things looking up this spring, it's no wonder so many had smiles at Hammonton Center during National Nursing Home Week.

"Once in a while, Covid cases may pop up from time to time, from residents who have been brought to our facility to a lone staff member," said Hammonton Center Administrator and Cherry Hill native, Eli Goldman. "We have learned so much about how to handle COVID-19 from last year's experience, so if a case emerges, we have the resources and know what to do to contain it. This is why National Nursing Home Week here means so much."
