Here's How To Celebrate Kids To Parks Day In Cherry Hill

CHERRY HILL, NJ — Cherry Hill is hosting a pair of events for Kids to Parks Day on Saturday. Kids to Parks Day is a national day of outdoor play celebrated annually on the third Saturday of May, according to the township’s website.

The day connects kids and families with their local, state, and national parks and public lands through thousands of park events that promote discovery and exploration in the great outdoors.

There are no special park events being held nationally this year due to the coronavirus pandemic. Instead, Americans are being encouraged to visit local parks and public land with their household groups or established COVID-19 “bubbles,” focusing on close-to-home outdoor spaces and experiences.

Cherry Hill is hosting a multi-park scavenger hunt, where residents visit different parks and answer questions on this survey. Residents can also visit parks and see if they can find the items listed on this online checklist.

There are 56 parks in Cherry Hill. An online listing of each park, including the address and amenities, is posted on the township website.
