The day connects kids and families with their local, state, and national parks and public lands through thousands of park events that promote discovery and exploration in the great outdoors.
There are no special park events being held nationally this year due to the coronavirus pandemic. Instead, Americans are being encouraged to visit local parks and public land with their household groups or established COVID-19 “bubbles,” focusing on close-to-home outdoor spaces and experiences.
