Kresson and Springdale Affected By Water Main Work

Residents can expect traffic delays and water shutoffs through the end of the week.

It’ll be a headache for commuters and residents around Springdale and Kresson roads Thursday and Friday, with emergency water main work scheduled in the area, county officials announced.

New Jersey American Water will be making repairs in the area starting around 9 a.m. Thursday, which could run through roughly 7 a.m. Friday, officials said.

Though both roads will remain open through the repair work, traffic patterns and lanes will be shifted, with significant delays likely. County officials recommended drivers avoid the area if at all possible.

Homeowners whose water service will be affected were notified Wednesday, according to county officials, and water shutoffs could happen almost immediately after work begins Thursday, in order for workers to reconnect the affected main.

Updates on the work will be posted on the township's Twitter feed, township officials said.
