Legendary Cherry Hill Businesswoman Passes Away
Doris M. Damm died on Monday, February 27, 2017. She was 82.

Doris M. Damm (nee Stubergh), of Moorestown, who rose to prominence as a staffing industry pioneer, died on Monday, February 27, 2017. She was 82.
Doris was born in Jamaica Queens, NY. She was a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson College with a B.A. in English.
Widely considered one of the nation’s preeminent experts in the temporary staffing industry, Doris Damm’s rise to prominence began in 1978 with a tiny office in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.

Under her leadership, Accu Staffing Services grew to become one of the fastest-growing and most highly respected staffing firms in the country. Today, under the leadership of Doris’ husband Edward, their three children and one grandchild, the company employs more than 30,000 people annually throughout its twelve offices in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
Throughout her career, Doris has been honored with countless awards for her role as an innovator, lecturer, and successful businesswoman.

She has served the regional business community as Chairman of the Board of Directors, Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia; Board Member of Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center & Our Lady of Lourdes Foundation; Member of the Advisory Board and Foundation Board, Rutgers University School of Business, Camden; Panelist on Rutgers quarterly economic Outlook panel; Member of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council. Member of the Board of Directors, Cherry Hill Chamber of Commerce.
Beloved wife of 57 years to Edward J. Damm. Dear mother of William Damm, Edward H. (Laura) Damm, Elaine M. Damm. Loving grandmother of Lisa Damm-Tipping, Michael Connor Sweeney and Erica Nicole Damm.
Funeral services and interment were held privately. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy , the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the American Cancer Society.
