Longtime Camden Diocese Reverend Passes

Rev. Joseph Mark Hayden died on January 18, 2017, at St. Marys’ Home in Cherry Hill at the age of 96.

Father Hayden attended the University of Notre Dame and St. Mary’s Seminary in Baltimore, MD., after which he was ordained in the Camden Diocese in 1948.

He served many Parishes in the Camden Diocese, serving his last six years as Pastor of St. Aloysius RC Church in Oaklyn before his retirement in 1991.

Brother of Sister Mary Lou Hayden and the late Sister Jude Miriam Hayden, Edward Hayden and Margaret Schroll (nee Hayden). Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Aloysius, 37 West Haddon Avenue, Oaklyn, NJ, 08107.

Viewing will be held Monday morning from 9 a.m.- 10:15 a.m. at the Church. Interment will be held in the St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Swedesboro, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Priest Retirement Fund c/o Diocese of Camden, 631 Market St. Camden, NJ, 08102.
