Major Reconstruction Project Set For Kresson Road In Cherry Hill
Camden County and Cherry Hill have entered into a shared services agreement for a major reconstruction project on Kresson Road.
CHERRY HILL, NJ — Camden County and Cherry Hill have entered into a shared services agreement for a major reconstruction project on Kresson Road, officials announced Thursday morning.
Under the agreement, a county project along the road will be combined with a project funded by the Township at the intersection of Kresson and Brace roads, officials said.
“This agreement allows us to lower overall costs by finding one contractor to perform both projects under a single contract,” Camden County Freeholder Barbara Holcomb, liaison to the Department of Public Works, said. “Kresson Road is a major thoroughfare that stretches from Haddonfield to Evesham and sees thousands of motorists each day. Overall, this project will dramatically improve the road surface in a heavily-trafficked area, and help to lessen the congestion that typically develops at peak travel times.”

Cherry Hill will cover the full $450,000 cost for the installation of a right turn lane on Kresson Road turning onto Brace Road toward Haddonfield, officials said. The added lane is expected to alleviate congestion and ease travel through the busy intersection.
Independent of the shared services agreement, crews on behalf of the Department of Public Works will be resurfacing the road surface and improving drainage and handicap ramps along Kresson Road from Brace Road to Howard Johnson Road.
