NJ Special Olympics American Girl Fashion Show Features Local Girl

The annual Special Olympics New Jersey’s American Girl Fashion Show will have a local flavor this year.

Haley Milligan, 6, of Cherry Hill will serve as an ambassador for the 2012 show, which is Oct. 21 at Forsgate Country Club in Monroe Township, Middlesex County.

A first-grader new to the American Girl Fashion Show, Haley has been involved with fundraising for the Special Olympics, as well as promoting the fashion show.

She’ll model American Girl clothing during the show, which is a showcase of historical and contemporary fashions.

Along with other girls between 5 and 12 years old, Haley will help illustrate how clothing has changed over the years to reflect history, culture and girls’ individual styles.
