Prestigious Sakura Spring In Cherry Hill To Close: Report
The highly praised Chinese restaurant will close when its lease expires this month, the Courier Post reports.
CHERRY HILL, NJ — An Oriental restaurant in Cherry Hill that has earned praise both regionally and nationally is reportedly set to close.
Sakura Spring will close on Sept. 29 when it comes to the end of its rental lease, the Courier Post reports. The restaurant’s owners weren’t immediately available for comment to Cherry Hill Patch on Monday.
It has been voted a “Grade A” restaurant by the Philadelphia Inquirer and the Daily News, and was voted one of the top 100 Chinese restaurants in the country by Chinese Restaurant News in 2012, according to its website.

Owners Hat Lam and Teresa Wang opened the restaurant at Heritage Square on Route 70 as Empress of China with a limited Chinese menu.
“As the tastes of its customers changed, the restaurant evolved,” the owners said on the website. “When customers sought more choices, the menu expanded to become Asian, rather than just Chinese. When customers became more health conscious, Sakura Spring began to offer sushi — light, healthy and beautifully presented using only the freshest fish.”
