Retro Fitness Hosts Bone Marrow Donor Drive Monday and Tuesday

Join the national bone marrow donor registry with just a cheek swab.

Ten thousand patients a year need a bone marrow transplant every year—but six in 10 don’t ever get that treatment.

To help increase the pool of potential donors, Retro Fitness, at 1447 Brace Rd., is hosting a registry drive Monday and Tuesday through Smiles4Shira and DKMS.

Potential donors have to be between 18 and 55 and weigh at least 110 pounds—the registering process also involves a cheek swab, which will determine the donor’s tissue type.
