Sussman Memorial Basketball Tournament In Cherry Hill April 14
The event honors Eric and Andy Sussman, brothers who passed away from cancer and were avid basketball players.
CHERRY HILL, NJ - The Betty and Milton Katz Jewish Community Center (Katz JCC) will host its 14th annual Eric and Andy Sussman Memorial 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament on April 14. The tournament is for students in middle school and high school.
The event honors Eric and Andy Sussman, brothers who were JCC members and avid basketball players. They both passed away from cancer. Upon their passing, JCC members and friends of the Sussman brothers started a fundraiser and charity tournament.
What started out as a small event in 2004 has grown bigger each year. Proceeds from this event benefit Katz JCC Youth Basketball Programs.

“It’s an honor to keep the memory of the Sussman brothers alive through this commemorative event each year,” JCC Fitness & Wellness Director Bill Christy said. “What better way to celebrate their lives than with a fun yet competitive day of basketball.”
There will be separate boys tournaments and girls tournaments for each age bracket. All participants receive an event t-shirt and prizes will be awarded to tournament winners.
