These Cherry Hill Businesses Got The Most CARES Act Money
Under the CARES Act, the federal government has awarded more than $2.4 billion to New Jersey companies.
CHERRY HILL, NJ — The federal government has sent more than $2.4 billion to companies in New Jersey for coronavirus relief efforts since Congress passed the CARES Act in March.
More than $6 million of that federal money ended up in Cherry Hill, including more than $4 million for Lockheed Martin, according to the Federal Procurement Data System.
It received $2,076,080 from the U.S. Air Force and $2,152,367 from the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). More money will be allocated from the Department of the U.S. Army.

Total Technology was the only other Cherry Hill business to receive more than $1 million, as it received $1,964,716.49 from the U.S. Army. Others that received funding include:
- Foreign Languages Services Simulation: $66,202.32 from the U.S. Army;
- Finesse Dental Laboratory: $100,000 from the Department of Veterans Affairs; and
- Universal Technical Resource Services: $11,780 from the U.S. Army.
Congress passed the $2 trillion Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act on March 27. In addition to direct aid to people who lost their jobs and the Paycheck Protection Program to help small businesses avoid laying off workers, the act included direct government spending for fighting the coronavirus.
