Trader Joe's To Open Cherry Hill Store Next Week
Trader Joe's will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its Cherry Hill store on July 30.
CHERRY HILL, NJ — Trader Joe’s is about a week away from opening its Cherry Hill store. The food chain will open its newest location at 755 Haddonfield Road on July 30, the store announced.
The opening will be marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 7:55 a.m. before the store opens for business at 8 a.m. The celebration will then continue with music and giveaways.
Beginning the following day, the store will be open one hour a day, from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m., for seniors and those with disabilities only. It will then open to the general public at 9 a.m. It will remain open until 9 p.m. each day.

The practice of dedicating the first hour to seniors and the disabled is an initiative stores across the country have embraced amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Trader Joe’s stores across the country, including the store soon to open in Cherry Hill, have embraced social distancing measures and health guidelines set forth by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to help stop the spread of the coronavirus.
The 13,000 square foot store will feature artwork that highlights and pays tribute to a number of local landmarks and attractions including Garden State Park Racetrack, Hawaiian Cottage, Cherry Trees, and Barclay Farmstead.
It will be the 18th Trader Joe’s store in New Jersey. There is also currently a Trader Joe’s at 300 Route 73 in Marlton.
Trader Joe’s, founded in 1967 in the Los Angeles area, carries a range of domestic and international products, and has more than 500 stores in 42 states.
It is one of a number of new stores coming to the shopping center at the site of the former Garden State Park racetrack. Others include HomeGoods, TJMaxx, Costco, Duluth and unnamed store, according to the Courier Post.
