1,700 Without Power In Clark As Severe Thunderstorms Hit
The National Weather Service issued a flash flood watch for Clark as scattered showers and thunderstorms pass through the area.
CLARK, NJ — More than 1,700 residents in Clark are without power as severe thunderstorms hit the area Thursday morning.
The National Weather Service issued a flash flood watch for Clark Thursday until around 11:15 a.m. as scattered showers and thunderstorms pass through the area.
The ground already remains saturated due to Tropical Storm Isaias and streams and creeks are running high. As a result, much of the area is more susceptible to flooding than usual.

As of 10:45 a.m. PSE&G is reporting 1,746 residents are without power in Clark. Power is expected to be restored by 8:15 p.m. on Thursday.
In Union County has a total of 6,890 PSE&G customers without power. The most in Union Township with more than 4,600.
