86-Year-Old Linden Man Hit, Killed By Car
The man was hit on Saturday night on W Baltimore Avenue near the intersection of Hussa Street in Linden.
LINDEN, NJ — An 86-year-old Linden man died from his injuries after being hit by a car on Saturday night.
The man, identified as Robert Kern, was hit by a 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe at around 8 p.m. on Saturday on W Baltimore Avenue near the intersection of Hussa Street, Linden Police Lt. Christopher Guenther said.
Kern was treated on scene and taken to Newark University Hospital where he later died from his injuries.

The driver of the vehicle, a 49-year-old man also from Linden, was not injured in the crash, said Guenther.
