The month of October has been filled with college-related activities at Arthur L. Johnson High School. Included in this week's events was the administration of the PSAT to all members of the freshmen, sophomore and junior classes and College Essay Day for Seniors.

The month has also seen a steady rotation of college visits to the newly renovated guidance office, report guidance staff. This week alone, students met with admissions officers from the University of Connecticut and Marist.

Events will continue through the month with a visit from the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) and with online chats with a wide variety of schools. The month is scheduled to close with a presentation from the Princeton Review on "Getting In."

Students and staff alike are anxiously awaiting the Fifth Annual College Fair on Wednesday. This year, a wide variety of schools is anticipated and information sessions will be presented for parents and students on topics ranging from disability services to financial aid. The event is open to the public and will run from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the cafeteria and upper gymnasium.
