LINDEN, NJ — All lanes on Route 1&9 South have been reopened after being closed in Linden due to a downed utility pole Thursday morning. The roadway reopened as of 8:15 a.m.

The roadway had closed at Stiles Street at midnight on Oct. 17, Linden Police said.

A detour for drivers to use was placed at S. Stiles Street to Lower Road or S. Stiles Street to W. Linden Avenue.
